Performance Training

Our Sports Performance program will safely condition athletes in order to reduce the occurrence of sports related injuries. Under professional supervision, athletes at Sports Performance will participate in training programs specifically designed to meet the demands of their position within their sport.

Our effective training program will increase flexibility helping athletes to develop quickness and improve body awareness.

The Training consists of high intensity intermittent bouts of exercise, which will include dynamic stretching, plyometric drills, weight training, and speed and agility training.

 

Head Training Coach

Mariah

Biography: Coach Mariah, from Houston, Texas moved to South Jersey in 2012. She quickly took on our head strength & conditioning training position. She has come a long way in athletics, while attending the power house University of Georgia on a full ride to play soccer. During her tenure, the Bulldogs held a position in the top 20 in division 1 female soccer programs during all four years. Coach Mariah graduated with a major in Sociology and a minor in Social Work.  She is the BOMB!!

If you are new to Performance Training, we offer 50% off your first session.  Otherwise we have Monthly Memberships going on with flexible scheduling.

  • 1 month – (1 time per week for an hour each time – 4 total sessions) $100

Winter Program plus Baseball Combo (Register Below)

This includes Al Roach’s Winter Baseball Hitting Weekday Clinic and the Sports Performance Training package. Players will come and hit for an hour followed by an hour of Sports Performance Training. This will occur twice each week. Hitting will run from January 3rd through March 3rd for a total of 9 weeks. Sports Performance Training will run from January 3rd through March 24th for a total of 12 weeks. This makes it 18 sessions of hitting and 24 sessions of Sports Performance Training.

Price is $1100 for the package.

Waiver of Liability and Release for use of Batting Cages I hereby acknowledge and agree that participation in the batting cages within We Drop Bombs LLC (“We Drop Bombs”), a Baseball and Softball Training Facility has inherent risks. In consideration of the services provided by We Drop Bombs, their agents, officers, participants, consultants, employees and all persons or entities acting in any capacity on their behalf (hereinafter referred to as We Drop Bombs) I now agree and certify as follows: 1. I acknowledge and fully understand that I (if participants is 18 years of age or older) or parent/legal guardian of the above listed minor participant, will be engaging in activities that may involve risk of serious injury which might result not only from my own actions, inactions, or negligence, but from the actions, inactions, or negligence of others or the conditions of the premises or of any equipment used. Further, that there may be other risks not known or not reasonable foreseeable at this time. The risks may include, but are not limited to: nature of the activity, latent or apparent defects of conditions in equipment or property supplied by We Drop Bombs or other entity; acts of other participants in this activity, employees or agents of We Drop Bombs; my own physical condition, acts of omissions; conditions of We Drop Bombs facility and surrounding grounds or terrain and accidents connected with their use; first aid emergency treatment or other services. 2. I expressly agree and promise to accept and assume all the risks existing in this activity. My participating in this activity is purely voluntary and I elect, in spite of the risks, to participate. I assume all the foregoing risks and accept personal responsibility for the damages following such injury. 3. On behalf of myself, my children, my parents, my heirs, assigns, personal representative I hereby voluntarily release, waive, forever discharge, and agree to indemnify and hold harmless We Drop Bombs and each of their respective commissioner, directors, agents, and other employees, its parent, subsidiaries, affiliate, employees, distributors and agents, other batting cage participants, and if applicable, operator or lessors of premises used to conduce the event/activity, from any and all liability for any and all claims, demands of causes of action which are in any way connected with my participation in this activity or my use of We Drop Bombs equipment or facilities. 4. I hereby certify that I have adequate insurance to cover any injury or damage I may cause or suffer while participating in these activities or alternatively I agree to bear the cost of such injury or damage myself. I further certify that I have no medical or physical conditions, which could interfere with my safety in this activity, or else I am willing to assume and bear the costs of all risk that may be created, directly or indirectly, by any such condition. 5. I hereby certify that I am at least 18 years old, or the part or legal guardian of the participant under 18, and I agree I will wear a batting helmet at all times while in the batting cages. I hereby provide We Drop Bombs permission to administer basic first aid and I authorize We Drop Bombs or its agents or employees to contact 911 or other emergency personnel as needed. 6. I hereby certify that I have been given the Rules & Regulations for batting cage use below and will adhere to them. 7. I do hereby give We Drop Bombs its assigns, licensees, and legal representatives the irrevocable right to use photographs or video in all forms and media and in all manners, including composite, for advertising or marketing for publication or any other lawful purposes, and I waive any right to inspect or approve the finished product, including written copy, internet, etc., which may be created in connection therewith. I acknowledge that if anyone is hurt, or property is damaged during participation in this activity a court of law may find me to have waived my right to maintain a lawsuit against We Drop Bombs and each of the parties listed in Paragraph 3 above on the basis of any claim from which I have release them herein. Batting Cage Rules A. Batters MUST wear helmets inside tunnels at all times. B. Only We Drop Bombs personnel are permitted to adjust pitching machines. C. A waiver must be signed before use of any of the equipment by any user who is 18 years of age or older (Parent/guardian must sign for any minors). D. Adults are responsible for the actions of the youth in the training area. Misconduct will result in immediate termination of privileges. Horseplay/fooling around will not be tolerated. E. No food or drink allowed in the training areas. F. All balls must be picked up and returned to their proper place after use. G. Batters must wear appropriate shoes. (No Cleats) H. No person under the influence of Drugs or Alcohol is permitted to use the batting cages. I. Alert the attendant immediately if balls are throwing out of strike zone. J. Balls may be pitched at any time. BE ALERT at all times. K. No one under the age of 6 years old is permitted to use the pitching machines. L. Anyone under the age of 16 must have adult supervision on site. Helmets and bats must be provided by the user. M. The only people swinging a bat are those inside the individual tunnels. N. Do not throw balls back at pitching machines. O. This is a family atmosphere, no profanity or vulgar language/gestures will be permitted. P. CAUTION! Injuries could result from the use of these devices. Users should assume the inherent risks of batting baseballs and softballs. If users have any questions about the use of these devices or the inherent risks associated with the use of these devices, ask the attendant before using the batting cages.

Strength training offers kids many benefits, but there are important caveats to keep in mind. Here’s what you need to know about youth strength training.

Strength training for kids? You bet! Done properly, strength training offers many bonuses to young athletes. Strength training is even a good idea for kids who simply want to look and feel better. In fact, strength training can put your child on a lifetime path to better health and fitness.

Strength training, not weightlifting

For kids, light resistance and controlled movements are best — with a special emphasis on proper technique and safety. Your child can do many strength training exercises with his or her own body weight or inexpensive resistance tubing. Free weights and machine weights are other options.

Don’t confuse strength training with weightlifting, bodybuilding or powerlifting. These activities are largely driven by competition, with participants vying to lift heavier weights or build bigger muscles than those of other athletes. This can put too much strain on young muscles, tendons and areas of cartilage that haven’t yet turned to bone (growth plates) — especially when proper technique is sacrificed in favor of lifting larger amounts of weight.

For kids, what are the benefits of strength training?

Done properly, strength training can:

  • Increase your child’s muscle strength and endurance
  • Help protect your child’s muscles and joints from injury
