Three We Drop Bombs Players Have Blast in Tournament
July 28, 2011
Its Zach Amisano, Tucker Byrne and Jake Guertin who led the way for their team this past weekend at the Old School Challenge in Rehoboth, Delaware. The three combined went 9 for 11 with four home runs and 12 RBI’s with two of the homers coming off the bat of Zach Amisano. The rains came on Sunday and washed out game three keeping them from advancing to the playoff rounds. The winner of the tournament will be left undetermined for now.
“All three players have come along way over the years and if they stay focused and practice more they are all heading in the direction of college scholarships. Amisano has grown a lot in the last year which puts him at an advantage to other players his age. He is sitting at around the 6 foot mark at the age of 13. He will definitely be a future prospect in the eyes of professional scouts” said Roach.

Bombers 10-U Red Go 2-1 at Show Down at the Shore Tournament
July 6, 2011
The Bomber’s came to play at the Doc Cranmer Blvd tournament over the July 4th weekend. The Bombers won their first two games outscoring their opponents by 13 runs!!!
Coach Owen was quoted as saying “This squad continues to exceed my expectations. The boys show up ready to play each game and leave it all out on the field. You can’t ask for much more from your guys.”
Max Sakach, Donovan Wu, Brendan Scott, and Eddie Cashwell all had .500 batting avg’s for the tournament while Sal Cusumano led the team with a .571 avg. The pitching staff, led by Brendan Scott, JC Dobis, and Nick Dziuba once again proved to be more than the opposing hitters could handle. Their only loss came to the Titans on Monday which knocked them out of the playoffs due to giving up to many runs throughout the tournament. Despite not making the tournament playoffs, taking two of three in any tournament is still an accomplishment. Way to go Bombers!!!
